Fractal Art, Mandalas, and Design

I see my artwork as being a gateway to a different world. Although nature has had a profound influence on my life and is reflected in my art, I'd like to believe that my artwork goes at least one step beyond that. I've always believed that mandalas are a new way of seeing or experiencing something that we perhaps take for granted. Many of my mandala images were created from photographs of flowers, trees, or other organic matter. The reflection and symmetry provide a soothing, pleasing experience for the viewer, while the color evokes different feelings and emotions.

Fractal geometry is also known as the "geometry of nature". While my fractal images are reminiscent of nature and our natural surroundings, they are also "supernatural" (or not of this world) at the same time.

I see my art as a celebration of nature, color, and geometry that invites you, the viewer, to not only get lost in the art, but at the same time, to explore. What I hope for my artwork to convey, if it succeeds at all, is to show a new world and a new way of being that awakens imagination and calls the viewer to not only consider what is, but what could be. Welcome.

Please note: My most recent images are posted in my blog.

I realized that I hadn't updated my home page in quite some time, so I thought I would share one of my latest images, Peacebloom. For now, you can see a larger version of this image on my site at deviant art.
